Final track configuration

The final track configuration (ramps) was determined at the workshop this past Saturday. There will be one wide ramp and two narrower ramps, very much as was used in that workshop. If there are any questions or further clarifications, comments, etc, please contact Mike Eklund by email.

The UOIT Main Gym is in the Recreation and Wellness Centre, there is ample parking behind the Centre in the Champions Lot. Please use this rather than the Champions Visitors Lot which is in front on the Centre: See map.

Workshop – Saturday November 16th

The final workshop will be held on Saturday November 16th from 9:00 am to noon at UOIT.

The location is the Energy Research Centre, which directly across from Founder Parking Lot 1.

The full competition track will be set up and the final configuration determined during the morning.

Teachers, please note that we will have a meeting at about 10:00 a.m. to discuss the track configuration, ideas for next year’s competition, and any other items that you may wish to discuss.

Workshop – Saturday November 2nd

The workshop on November 2nd will be held from 9:00 am to noon at UOIT in J102. J102 is directly south of the Simcoe Building next to the Founders Lot 1 parking lot: http://www.uoit.ca/maps/uoit/

We will have the track set up for practice. We will also try to provide as much assistance to the teams as we can, and will take questions and answers about the 2013 rules.

Please bring completed photo release forms.

Note also that the UOIT Fall Open House is the same day and we encourage your to participate in that as well (parents also take note). It runs until 2:00 p.m.

Kick-Off Meeting and Beginners’ Workshop: Saturday October 19th

The Kick-Off Meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday October 19th at UOIT in OPG Engineering Building room ENG 2045/2050.
A beginners’ workshop will follow immediately after and go to about noon.
Please note that these are optional for attendance and the Competition Rules and instructions will be posted on this website to ensure that everyone has access to it.
This workshop will be focused for new teams and new team members will little or no prior experience with the Lego Mindstorm NXT kits and software. Note also that the competition track will not be set up for this workshop (but it will be set up for the next two, on November 2nd and 16th).

The Kickoff Meeting and Beginners Workshop will be on Saturday October 19th. The Workshops/Practice Sessions will be on Saturday November 2nd and November 16th at UOIT.

2012 Final Results
